At Connery Rink, the Spartans dedicated the game to the late Patrick Reddy, who died in an auto accident five years ago Sunday. Then they came out and scored four first-period goals en route to the rout.
Cam O'Neill and Jarad Fitzpatrick scored two goals each for St. Mary's (7-1-1 overall and 3-0 in the Catholic Central League/Large). Other scorers were Eric McAdams, Brendan Mageary, Bobby Mullins, Tommy Braswell, and Jordan Manthorne.
Bailey MacBurnie played the first two periods in net before coach Mark Lee put Nick Holt into his first-ever varsity game.
